YESAction initiatives provide chapters with leadership opportunities, volunteering opportunities, and real-world professional experiences of working with other community organizations and leaders. Effective chapters that complete initiatives will have the opportunity to apply for the national team.

Resources without Barriers:

The national team strives to provide chapters with the tools and resources they need to complete initiatives. No membership dues or financial obligations are needed to join. Chapters are also encouraged to host fundraising events on their own.

Flourish within an Empowering Community:

Chapters are not alone. The national team and other chapters work together to ensure that there are no barriers for environmental sustainability. Whether it is knowledge, experience, or fundraising, we are in this together! Community and industry leaders provide mentorship and support for chapters and the national team.

Chapter Ranking System:

YESAction offers a Chapter Ranking System, progressing from Bronze to Diamond Chapter. It is an incentive system encouraging chapters to fulfill YESAction's initiatives. Upon meeting specific initiative targets, chapters are rewarded with certificates, awards, and scholarship opportunities from YESAction.

Step By Step Process

1Joining YESAction:

Join YESAction by checking if your school already has an established chapter. If there is one, consider joining and contributing to its growth. If not, take the initiative to establish one.

2Chapter Establishment:

Establish a local chapter at your own high school. By becoming an official part of the YESAction network, you will gain access to a wide range of resources, support, and opportunities to make a difference.

3Build Your Team:

Recruit members from your high school who share the same passion for sustainability and enlist them as active participants in your chapter.

4Initiative Selection:

Choose your initiatives based on community needs and chapter interests. These can include campaigns, educational programs, events, and more—aligned with YESAction’s sustainability mission.

5Accessing Resources:

Gain access to toolkits, mentorship, and materials from the national YESAction team to help implement your initiatives effectively and achieve chapter recognition.
